Impact: East Asia Prayer Partnership

IMPACT: East Asia Prayer Partnership

Our new 'area' of East Asia for IMPACT: East Asia is the Diaspora. This includes the Chinese in Canada and Central/South America, Europe, Africa, Central/South/Southeast Asia. It also includes Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. Basically all over the world, since that is where we will find Chinese communities! Some of these areas have been profiled others haven't. Some areas have workers, others don't. Obviously, we are especially interested in partners to adopt those areas where no one is currently working.

Han Chinese (Diaspora of Cuba)

The Han Chinese people of Cuba have a population of 110,000. Their primary language is Mandarin Chinese. The Chinese first arrived in Cuba in significant numbers in the late 1850s to toil in Cuba’s flourishing sugarcane fields. Cuban plantation owners looked upon impoverished Chinese farmers and workers as replacement labor for African slaves. If you or your church would like to adopt Cuba to begin praying for please contact me. cdixon@bcnm.com

We want to enlist more and more people to pray for the greater work - Chinese throughout the world.  We have a tool available from the Global Prayer Office this May.  It is the Prayer Points. You can order online  http://imbresources.org/, then type Prayer Points in the search and it will take you to the page.  If you have never seen it before, it is a short but informative handout. If you order online, please make sure you are ordering the MAY issue!!
