The churches of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico have partnered together for over 110 years to share the Gospel in New Mexico and around the world. We are committed to helping each other accomplish more together than we ever could alone.
Therefore, in light of the COVID-19 virus crisis, we have organized a way to assist churches in need. Many churches during this time will struggle to pay for rent or utilities. They may need help making sure their pastor has food or continues to have insurance.* We want to help as many churches as we can.
Through the Mission New Mexico Offering, we have been able to reallocate some funds to help. In order for a church to receive support from the Hope Fund, they simply need to complete the Hope Fund Request Form. A member of our Executive Services Team will contact them to discuss the funding and pray with them.
You will need the following to complete the form:
- Contact information
- Basic, estimated monthly church income and expenses
- Estimated regular attendance figures prior to the crisis
- Weekly average of giving to the church since March 1, 2020
- Any other resources the church may have in reserve
- Prayer requests for the church, church members, or the pastor and his family
Once you have these items, please use the online form, download a pdf of the form, or contact us for help completing the form. We have designed this request process to be quick and easy. Please let us know how we can best serve you during this time.
*The BCNM already has a fund designed to help pastors with unforeseen emergencies with medical bills, food, family emergencies or other such situations. For those needs, contact Dr. Bunce or Nancy Faucett directly at (505) 924-2300.
