#ThisIsMissionNM
Imagine a single evangelistic crusade in Southern New Mexico that could individually share the Gospel with every single person – one-on-one – living in Las Cruces, Deming and Alamogordo. …every single person.
Now, stop imagining and celebrate the Mission New Mexico State Missions Offering. Among its causes in 2020, hunger ministries it funded shared the Gospel individually with 155,852 people across the state. That total is more than the populations of Las Cruces, Deming and Alamogordo – combined. On average, that means New Mexico Baptists shared the Gospel with 427 people daily 24/7 through MNM funded or assisted hunger ministries. This is Mission New Mexico. #ThisIsMissionNM
Mission New Mexico is the work of Southern Baptists across the state who give generously and sacrificially to support causes and work not included in Cooperative Program funded ministries. Their gifts comprise the annual Mission New Mexico State Missions Offering. It shares hope. It changes lives.
The 2021 offering theme is “Living Hope.” It is taken from 1 Peter 1:3-4. People need more than hope that lies beyond the grave. Jesus brought both living hope and eternal hope. The salvation He offers matters today and tomorrow, not just in eternity.
This page features resources churches and church members can use to promote the offering in their churches, in their small groups and on social media. Scroll down to explore all the possibilities through which you can say, “This is Mission New Mexico.” The page offers videos; self-printable posters, guides and handouts; and artwork for social media posts. More is coming, too. Help others participate in transforming lives.
And, if you participate in a Mission New Mexico funded or assisted ministry, tell your story and tag it with #ThisIsMissionNM. Your story can fuel the movement of generosity that brings lasting, satisfying spiritual hope.
